We operate according to globally recognised standards for forest stewardship and management of environmental, energy and quality aspects. All standards are integrated into business procedures and reviewed annually by internal and external specialists.

Holmen aims to be transparent. Every year, we publish Environmental and Carbon Footprint Declarations for our product families, Invercote and Incada.

The art of growing forests

Forestry is undergoing constant development. The requirements are changing. New knowledge is being added. Forest stewardship must, therefore, take a long-term perspective and follow the changing requirements in the world at large.

Our production facilities

Within Holmen Board and Paper we produce two types of paperboard: solid bleached board at the mill in Iggesund, Sweden and folding box board at the mill in Workington, England, and at our converting plant in Strömsbruk in Sweden, we can add further value to our paperboard.

Iggesund Mill

With roots dating back to 1685, the mill in Iggesund is one of the world's most advanced pulp and paperboard mills.

Workington Mill

Our mill in the UK produces premium FBB using almost fossil-free bioenergy and meeting modern packaging demands.

Strömsbruk

Strömsbruk Mill is where we add further value to our paperboards by applying various barriers, films and foils.
