InvercoteT_layers

Solid Bleached Board

Invercote is a multi-layered product (solid bleached board, SBB), entirely based on fresh fibres.

Specific fibre compositions are used for the various layers in the construction to optimise performance. The outer layers are dominated by hardwood fibres to promote smoothness and printability. The middle layer consists of softwood fibres for strength and flexibility.

Product description

Invercote T is designed for packaging and manufactured without the addition of fluorescent whitening agents (FWA). Whiteness is achieved only through the coating and the pure white fibre in the baseboard. Thanks to its composition of solid bleached primary fibres, Invercote T has superior strength and smoothness along with ideal structural and embossing characteristics, offering several advantages related to design, packaging operations and usage. The board has a Crease Recovery Resistance (CRR) adapted to high speed packaging lines, allowing great runnability and providing excellent box geometry. The printing side is fully coated and finished to a matt level which gives Invercote T a smooth surface. The smooth surface allows for demanding printing as well as uniform ink absorption and the solvent retention after gravure printing is particularly low, allowing for shorter storage time after printing.
