About Bio E

The Bio E coating is based on renewable resources and adapted for organic recovery through composting or anaerobic digestion. The material is suitable for applications where biodegradability is desired. The baseboard, the coating and the combination conforms to the European Standard regarding compostability, EN 13432. The product also works well in existing recycling systems.

Bio E is particularly suitable as an alternative to PE as a barrier against grease and liquids, e.g. ice cream, cups for cold and hot drinks and chilled food. The converting performance, such as die-cutting, creasing and heat sealing are comparable to those of PE, with adapted settings.
