It is printed on Invercote Metalprint Digital using HP Mosaic to create 500 unique designs. Scodix digital embossing is used to highlight details in the pattern turning it into a box that really stands out on the shelf.

“I’m totally in love with Invercote Metalprint Digital and use it for as many projects as possible,” says Smit. “I have printed everything from packaging and business cards to invitations and book covers on it.”

But simply accessing Invercote Metalprint Digital, which is not yet available in South Africa, was a challenge and Minit Print had to work with a local paper house to import it.

“I knew our clients were going to love it,” says Smit. “There is obviously a saving to our clients because you don’t need a traditional metal foiling block and instead of one ‘foil’ colour I can offer you however many shiny ‘foil’ colours you want.”

Aroma Coffee Roastery and its customers have welcomed the colourful granola boxes, she adds. “They cannot stop raving about them. Every time you buy a box it’s different to the previous one – how cool is that?!”
