Apple and bramble crumble
700g peeled and sliced apples
250ml plain flour
100ml light brown sugar
Place fruit in a large shallow baking dish and sprinkle over sugar. In a food processor whiz the flour and butter for a few seconds until they resemble breadcrumbs then add the sugar. Scatter the crumble over the fruit loosely. Bake in a preheated oven at 200° C/Gas 6 for about 35 minutes.
Serve with vanilla custard and/or ice cream
