How a recycled copy of Inspire became something completely different in the hands of a creative artist.
Yesterday’s newspapers and magazines are commonly dismissed as fishwrap, but a recent issue of Inspire served as the inspiration for a unique work of art.
"The cover of Inspire magazine gave me the inspiration to create a fish like no one had ever seen before"
Véronique Boisvert, a graphic designer in Quebec, Canada, turned the magazine’s pages into a three-dimensional paper fish, a handmade creation that evokes modernity and femininity with a sly sense of humour.
"The beautiful textures, colors and finishes of the Invercote cover gave me all I needed to create my own fish story," says Boisvert.
