FSC – Forest Stewardship Council – is an international system for certification of forestry that has the support of many environmental organisations.

The important facts about FSC are that the fibres in the product can be traced back through the production process and that they meet the demands set for FSC labelling at all stages.

PEFC – Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes – was originally a European system for certification of forestry, but has now also gained global recognition.

The certificate verifies that Iggesund conducts its environmental activities in compliance with the Swedish PEFC standard.

The origin of our pulp

The pulp used to produce Invercote is manufactured at the Iggesund Mill from wood that is either certified to FSC or PEFC standards or compliant with the most recent Controlled Wood standard.

All pulp supplied to the Workington mill for the production of Incada is either certified to FSC standards or complies with the most recent Controlled Wood standard, which demonstrates that the pulps are sourced from low risk areas.
